Stefan Reichmann
Stefan Reichmann, born in 1983, is an Austrian photographer based in Vienna. His latest photo series “Jormak” was published as a zine and was exhibited amongst others at the Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna and at the Künstlerhaus Vienna. In 2013, he was invited from the fashion magazine Vogue Italia to participate at a group exhibition A Glimpse at Photo Vogue, which took place at Galleria Carla Sozzani in Milan. Reichmann likes to explore the countryside and daily, commonplace themes for his projects.
The photo series “Jormak” was shot at the 3 biggest local fun fairs in Carinthia/Austria. These are the Villacher Kirchtag, Bleiburger Wiesenmarkt and the St.Veiter Wiesenmarkt. Stefan was particularly interested in the architecture of amusement parks and the local youth culture. The photos show young people as herds in a glittery but also gloomy melancholic atmosphere. By choosing the same hair-style, same shoes or the same hats or even the same movement they define themselves as a unique, closed group among thousands of visitors. The amusement park devices also develop a mysterious and spherical style when the dark of the evening approaches and their colorful lights turn on.

The Addis Foto Fest (AFF) was established in 2010 by award-winning photographer and cultural entrepreneur, Aida Muluneh. The festival is organized by Desta for Africa Creative Consulting PLC. AFF is a biennial international photography festival held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It has previously featured exhibitions, portfolio reviews, conferences, projections and film screenings in many different renowned venues. It is also the first and only international photography festival in East Africa.
